Were you dumped with a post-it note? Did you conceal your bitterness behind cordial words? Did someone thank you for the past in a heartwarming manner?
Cultural Company Eloa is searching for real-life break up letters for ‘Goodbye Summer, Goodbye Love’ performances — anonymously, of course.
In an intimate, club-shaped performance night on September 8th and 9th at 7PM in Kvääristö Kallio, the selected breakup letters are interpreted by artists from various fields. The letters may translate into tunes, images, movement, whispers, or new words. All post-love emotions are present: longing, anger, empathy, humor, shame, growth, relief...
A breakup letter can be any form of a message that ended a relationship - even a reflection of the ended relationship. Breakup letters can be short, long, bad, thankful, exquisite, empathetic, miserable, ambiguous, or loving... As are the breakups!
Kvääristö operates according to the safer space principles*
